Thanks, everybody! It means a lot coming from you all. Brian, I think the biggest kick in drawing these pigeons comes from the fact that they're basically squishy spheres. Simplify, simplify...
Yes, Matt, I hope that my comment came across as being about the pigeon's character and not your sense of pigeon anatomy. I am spending a lot of time with a zaftig cat these days so round animals are on my mind. Anyway, great piece!
matt... loved having you visit our school a few weeks back. The kids begged for their sketchbooks + are enjoying making their own characters. One little guy went out + bought a little moleskin like yours! Keep on inspiring kids + old folks like me:) ps LOVE the pigeon of the month!
Hey Brian, your comment indeed came across as intended. After all, you know I've spent years studying with the Greatest Pigeon Anatomy Teachers in Italy.
Amy, that is truly wonderful to hear. Tell the kids to Keep Sketching!

Very nice! You're getting great body language out of the little guy there, Matt. Especially considering that his body is basically a sphere.
:) Stormingly great sketch!
Wonderful sketch yet again! I love the colours.
