Sketchy

Here are the quick sketches I made as I worked out IF: Late. As it often happens, I like the thumbnail sketch better. Oh well.

Oh the sketch is fantastic as well. Your lines are so alive! I love that.

I really like the bottom right one where we can see his face. I now feel sorry for him. I think he is not happy being who he is, is he?

Now I'm curious, there is a sketch of him with another silhouette coming from behind, who is that? Did you have a story behing that or he just popped in the picture?

Hey, Alicia!

The figure on the left side of the picture is just another pose...I was trying the idea of him leaning against the tree with his foot propped against it. Ultimately I went with the vamp just missing his chance before the sun came up, rather than have him waiting around for the sun to set.

I think he's ambivalent about his vampirehood. I do prefer the nosferatu type vamp over the broodingly handsome variety, so maybe he has self-image issues (which are further complicated by the whole no reflection in a mirror thing).

I see. About the poses, I think the one you chose has a more theatrical feel and it is actually marking a precise moment, it's perfect.

I never thought that he could have self-image issues.. Lol! Poor guy. Now I just want to give him a big hug. (although I know I will pretty much regret it for all eternity) ;o)

These are awesome, I love how I can tell how you lay out the lighting and stuff in this stage.
